Woven Woods
Recently at WCD we have introduced Woven Wood Roman Shades. These shades are an imitation of nature, made with natural materials such as Bamboo, Reeds, Grasses, Woods, and Jute. Due to the nature of these natural materials, each shade will have its very own unique characteristics due to Mother Nature's of creating and individual look for each shade.
We currently supply three kinds of woven wood fabrics including Select Weaves, Woven Woods, and Grass Weaves. We also manufacture four types of Woven Wood Roman Shades including Traditional Roman Shades, Old Style Roman Shades, Top Down Roman Shades, and Duo Fold Roman Shades (Top Down Bottom Up). Below (connected with a picture illustrating the look and feel of each Roman Shade) is a brief description of each type of Woven Wood Roman Shade.
Traditional Roman Shade:
Material attaches to the back of the headrail and raises in soft fold. Standard valance attaches to the front of the headrail to conceal the shade hardware. The lift cord is located behind the valance and in front of the shade material for easy access.
Right side control position is standard - left side control position is optional.
Valance is 6" in height (4" on shades under 18" wide)
Returns are standard on outside mount, available on inside mount upon request.
The standard price includes 6" valance, wood dowel bottom hem, cord lock, and all necessary mounting hardware.
Old Style Roman Shade:
Variation of the traditional Roman Shade, with the shade material attached to the front of the headrail to conceal the shade hardware without the use of a valance. A back valance comes standard on all inside mount shades. The back valance includes liner when ordered on the shade.
Unless specified, the lift cord comes through an oval grommet located on the front of the shade to make access to the control easier.
Right side control position is standard - left side control position is optional. Returns are standard on the outside mount, available on inside mount upon request.

Top - Down Roman Shade:
Variation of the Traditional Roman Shade. Shade lowers from the top down. Standard valance attaches to the front of the headrail to conceal the shade hardware. Back valance is included on inside mount shades. Front and back valances are lined when liner is ordered.
Duo Fold Shade (Top-Down/Bottom-Up):
Variation of the Traditional Roman Shade. Shade can raise from the bottom or lower from the top. Standard valance attaches to the front of the headrail to conceal the shade hardware. Back valance is included on inside mount shades. Front and back valances are lined when liner is ordered.
